Liquid Frontiers

The première of the sound installation “Urbirds singing the Sonata” was accompanied by the publication of a form of “programme”. Alongside information about the project and its participants, this included an essay which, in analysing the cultural context, shed light upon the relationship between Astrid Seme’s composition and the work of Kurt Schwitters upon which it is based. Rich in photographs and illustrations, the publication was designed by the artist herself - who also works as a graphic designer.
