Liquid Frontiers

As in the year before, “Future Lab 2” took the form of a journey which offered the nine participating architects and five “free radicals” the opportunity to address the chosen theme by sharing concrete experiences and subjective opinions gathered from their own areas of activity. Whether paradoxical or symptomatic, it is fascinating that the “Future Lab” project – with its open structure and the support of the “fast forward company Peneder” - offered adequate time and space for the participants to exclusively address the subject of “speed”. And it is perhaps even more fascinating that the journey included both a Formula One racetrack and a cloister – two places in which the notion of time is intensively present, albeit in different – yet astonishingly similar – forms.
