Descriptively titled “Crazy Large”, Artstripe no. 3 shows scenes and objects chosen to represent a lifestyle which must be as equally familiar to visitors to the offices as they are to the consultants who work there. Yet the hard shadows and perfect silhouettes of the status symbols reveal the transient nature of all relationships - an open secret which is sometimes lost in the glare of the spotlight.

Manu Burghart (*1968)

After studying at both the University of Applied Art and Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, the 1968-born artist launched a career as a visual designer focussing on the areas of art and fashion which has been as international as it has been multi-faceted.

Her illustrative work for such print media as the business magazine brand eins and the Neue Zürcher Zeitung and for the design agency Meiré und Meiré are notable for their rich sense of irony and illusion and for the fine individual style which also distinguishes her work in the field of moving graphics for television channels such as VIVA, plus TV and WDR. Manu Burghart also regularly exhibits in her role as an artist, in particular through her joint works with the German artist Rosemarie Trockel.
