Artstripe no. 6 (2006)
Acute, Outright and Zealous

Artstripe no. 6 offers a dazzling portrait of Accenture which oscillates between applied art and abstraction and, while acknowledging the role of norms and conventions, prefers to interpret the mesh of manifold social interrelationships which form the true basis and potential of the company.

To this end, the visual nucleus of “Acute, Outright and Zealous” is provided by Gingham Karo, one of the best known and most commonly used patterns in the area of business fashion. The fast-paced yet subtle integration of the pattern into the format of the stripe leads - not only in the eye of the observer - to intense and at times almost delirious results.

Constanze Schweiger (*1970)

Constanze Schweiger was born in 1970 and, after studying painting at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, spent several years in the Netherlands, New York and Los Angeles. Drawing on her driving interest in social relationships. Constanze Schweiger sets out as a director, initiating social processes which she then - in her role as an artist - records in the form of photos and panels. Both the resulting scenes of social relationships and the accompanying abstract representations of the cultural codes which underlie them combine a high level of visual stimulus with underlying humour and a remarkable sense of authenticity.

With an extensive professional network and a readiness to work in team situations the artist lives in Vienna.
