Martin Auer Collaborations

The Graz-based bakery Martin Auer has been trying out new and unconventional paths for generations. Hence, in line with the verse from the bible “Man shall not live on bread alone”, the company has joined up with the Vienna design team grafisches Büro to launch an occasional series of limited editions of accessories related to the enjoyment of good bread. To date, the results of this programme of cooperation with selected Austrian and international artists and other specialists include the ultimate bread and butter knife, a reusable coffee cup ‘to go’ made from recycled porcelain and a ceramic bowl for the perfect storage of Martin Auer’s classic “Landbrot” that is available in many of its 32 stores. Amongst other things, the specially produced objects and their designers are presented in the form of printed cards with texts from Liquid Frontiers.
